Position Summary – Fleet Mechanic

The role of the Fleet Mechanic is to perform preventative and routine maintenance on motorcoaches and trucks to ensure efficient and safe operation. This seasonal position is based in the Anchorage Motorcoach Office.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform all maintenance and mechanical repairs
  • Conduct daily coach inspections
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and tasks
  • Perform routine inspections and repairs to facilities and equipment
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Complete daily paperwork and maintenance records

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates for the Fleet Mechanic position must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:

  • Be 21 years of age
  • Posses or be able to obtain current Alaska Commercial Drivers License with clean record
  • Able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs
  • Provide your own hand tools
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Have three years of maintenance and/or mechanical related experience
  • Be a U.S. citizen or show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision
  • Able to work night shift
