Position Summary – Property Maintenance
The Property Maintenance position is responsible for performing preventative and routine maintenance on properties owned by Premier Alaska Tours in Healy and Otto Lake. This is to include facilities as well as grounds upkeep to provide a safe and clean environment for our guests as well as our employees. This person will work closely with the Otto Lake Manager as well as the VP of Fleet Maintenance to ensure the facilities, grounds, and equipment are maintained to company standards. The responsibilities of this position are physically demanding and all applicants should be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities of the Property Maintenance position include but are not limited to:
- Perform preventative maintenance and general repair of equipment, facilities, and grounds to ensure safety for guests and employees
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections on equipment and facilities to support maintenance program and regulatory requirements
- Work with Otto Lake Manager, Denali Ops Manager, and VP of Fleet Maintenance to ensure facilities are maintained and ready for tour groups
- Work with local contractors when repair work is beyond the scope of this position
- Maintain and monitor use of firepit
- Work with Anchorage Management and Ownership on future endeavors at Otto Lake and Coal Street Complex
- Other duties as assigned. Ability to jump in and perform tasks beyond the job description
Minimum Qualifications
A candidate must meet the following criteria in order to be considered as an applicant:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be a US Citizen or able to provide verification of authorization to work in the US
- Must be available to work from April through September
Knowledge of interior and exterior property maintenance preferred - Must provide a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record that meets PAT standards. Will need to complete provided van training program
- Able to work and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Work early morning, late evening and/or weekend shifts
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, walk up and down stairs and uneven surfaces, bend, squat, kneel and lift up to 70 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Must be able to communicate effectively
